Sally’s Workshops are fast-paced and full of new, hard thinking, befitting the disruption of the Fourth Revolution. Participants will leave with 2-3 Adventurous Thinking tools that are immediately applicable in their daily work. They will experience a 10X mindset during the session, and will discuss how to create a habit around this mindset. 

Workshops are structured with an introduction to exponential change, highlighting the fundamental difference between linear and exponential strategy, and an overview of current examples of the unexpected convergences that are a feature of disruptive systems and products. This presentation is followed by a series of hands-on group and individual exercises using customized prompts and Adventurous Thinking tools. Regular debriefs, quick presentations and critical feedback sessions ensure that the information and the tools are sticky.

Workshops range from a minimum 90-minutes to full or multi-day sessions. in-person is the best medium to harness Sally’s energy and experience and create unforgettable learning and co-creation experiences. Online and hybrid workshops with workbooks are also available.

Future Vision is a custom workshop designed to inspire organizational leaders by teaching them about coming technological disruptions, reframing their mindset about the future of their industry and organization, and guiding them to apply a possibility mindset as they explore moonshots, unexpected convergences and adjacent opportunities created in our rapidly changing world. This Workshop is fast-paced and full of new, hard thinking, as befits the disruptive era we are experiencing.

Tools explored, depending on timeframe and desired outcomes, include:
  • Parkour Inversion, activating a possibility 10X mindset in the participants and devising new disruptive systems
  • Adjacent Opportunities tool, demonstrates how concepts can be teased out to spot unexpected partnerships, threats and opportunities
  • ReThinking Lens, showing participants how to think differently around the manipulation of core value. This is a great tool for helping participants understand how every part of their daily work, and the assumptions that go with that, can be mined for future initiatives and innovations. ReThinking also helps increase impact
  • Moonshot Development Map, a tool for developing moonshot concepts without reducing the scale of vision
  • EPIC Resilience, a scalable resilience strategy leading with inclusion and innovation.

Moonshot Thinking

What does it take to lead in an era of unrelenting change?  What does it take to become a dealer in hope when so many people fear these waves of new technology?
 
Moonshot thinking is the human mind at its best, working in the zone of bearable discomfort to bring imagination to life. In the words of Astro Teller from Goole Ex, “Making a moonshot is almost more an exercise in creativity than it is in technology”.  This workshop first frees up the mind by exploring bearable discomfort and possibility thinking, then introduces a range of exponential technologies through convergence exercises and prompts. 10X technologies empower us to work at our own mental and physical cutting edge.  Man is still the measure of all things, and the Fourth Revolution heralds a renaissance in human creativity and potential.

Exploring Exponential Systems and Accelerated Convergences

Outlining the fundamental difference between linear and exponential thinking, the importance of Purpose for strategizing in exponential change, and the evolution from exponential organizations to larger systems. Teams will learn, discuss and practice proactive strategies including pretotyping and prosumer models.

A customized workshop designed to provoke exponential thinking around a particular topic, explore adjacent opportunities and technologies, and ultimately produce a diverse, future-forward pipeline of impactful products and services. This workshop examines not only internal innovative thinking, but how to harness the power of GenZ and other proactive consumers with prosumer outreach and co-creation opportunities.
